This is a manufacturer substitution. Part may differ in appearance but is a functional equivalent to prior parts including 9000279.

This anode rod (part number 9001453) is for water heaters.

Anode rod 9001453 attracts and neutralizes corrosive particles found in water to help extend the life of the water heater tank.

Disconnect electrical power to the water heater, turn off the water supply and drain the tank before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands.
